The port city in east Yorkshire was the UK’s second city of culture, after Derry became the first in 2013. Hull’s tenure has been widely praised and is estimated to have provided an economic boost worth more than the bid’s forecast of £60m.”

Wearing my blue, purple and pink uniform,  I became a Hull UK City of Culture 2017 volunteer for the day, joining hundreds of people from Hull who have given up their time over the past twelve months in the name of art and culture.”
